Taylor Dunnefilmmaker, curator, researcher and university lecturerMA, Media StudiesMulti-hyphenate, Taylor’s works have been exhibited widely at venues that include; the New York Film Festival, the Tribeca Film Festival, Crossroads Film and Video Festival (San Francisco), FOL: Experimental Film Society (Istanbul), EXDOC (Paris) and The Deluge Center for Contemporary Art (Victoria, BC). From the fall 2018 she will be joining SUNY Cortland as Assistant Professor of Media and Communication. She has an affinity for photographic processes, amateur film, the personal archive and the history of the cinematic apparatus. She uses these obsessions, and a wide range of media, to paint intimate poetic essays that examine the interconnectedness of time, history and landscape. Her work strives to make visible underrepresented histories, and to inspire citizens to participate in shaping future trends in cultural representation. Her works have been exhibited widely at venues that include; the New York Film Festival, the Tribeca Film Festival, Crossroads Film and Video Festival (San Francisco), FOL: Experimental Film Society (Istanbul), EXDOC (Paris) and The Deluge Center for Contemporary Art (Victoria, BC).
