Jocelyn Alas

Studio Production & Operations leader in Film, TV, & Video

Media Management (MS) in 2015

Jocelyn Alas is a studio production and creative services leader with over 15 years of experience across theatre, live events, video, film, and television production.

Jocelyn strongly believes in empowering voices behind the scenes through business operations and resource management; she has led teams of technical directors, art directors, cinematographers, costumers, stage managers, and more. As a Latina and first-generation American, Jocelyn works to demystify access to this world by providing regular mentorship to young professionals and students from underrepresented backgrounds.

After graduating from TNS, she worked with BuzzFeed to develop their studio operations department in LA and NYC. There, she created a full studio resource program that served about a hundred video productions per month through efficient creative design and technical execution.

Currently, Jocelyn is with Sunset Studios, where she oversees studio and production operations for Sunset Bronson, Sunset Gower, and Sunset Glenoaks Studios.
She and her team provide studio services to all incoming, current, and exiting stage productions. Her clients have included Netflix, ABC, CBS, and NBC Universal.
