Jun Oshima is a New York City based film director and cinematographer. Jun worked in advertising for 6 years at Tokyo Advertising and JWT before coming to New York City. Then he studied film production and theory at New School MA in Media Studies and Film program. He worked as a cinematographer on the 2009 Adobe Achievement Award and 2010 Student Academy Award winning project, SURFACE FILM. As a professional filmmaker, Jun’s projects have included corporate commercials, documentaries, independent fiction, TV shows, Music Videos and more. Jun’s extensive client list includes Google Creative Lab, Facebook, Vanity Fair Magazine, MoMA Design Store, and Conde Nast, where he has had the distinct pleasure to work with and shoot international icons such as Keith Richards, Busta Ryhmes, and DJ Spooky. Jun shot TV feature documentary for NHK (Japanese National Public Broadcasting) on the 14 time Grammy nominee Jazz pianist/composer Toshiko Akiyoshi in 2016.
