John Samuel Waters Jr. is an American film director, screenwriter, author, actor, stand-up comedian, journalist, visual artist, and art collector, who rose to fame in the early 1970s for his transgressive cult films.
Aside from filmmaking, John is also an accomplished writer, photographer and visual artist. He has published multiple collections of his journalistic exploits, screenplays, ruminations and artwork. And his artwork exhibits regularly in galleries and museums around the world.

Kinoscope’s mission is to enhance the awareness and understanding of the film and filmmaking process by screening a wide variety of national and international films.
Immediacy is a student-centered online journal produced by the School of Media Studies that provides a space for fresh approaches and perspectives on the understanding of media.
